SCAM - South Beach Brite and Sparkle

Hi. I foolishly ordered the "free" trial of South Beach Brite and South Beach Sparkle. I decided to "opt out of the membership program". I have tried to call(954)237-2690 several times to cancel. Each time being stuck on hold and listening to an endless recording of their products. All this time on a long distance charge.
I haven't even opened the package as I am disgraced with this treatment. My charge card has been charged multiple times. Do I really have to cancel the charge card in order to stop?
Please advise asap.

I too fell for the same scam. I have been on the phone with Visa and they have given me some practical advice. Because we have signed on to the Sparkle membership (even though we were scammed into it), Visa cannot do anything about the existing charges. If you just cancel your credit card, the company may be able to go after you for breaking the contract. Visa has advised me to call the Natural Source phone number to attempt to cancel. If you do finally talk to someone, insist they send you email confirmation of the cancellation. If they won't, ask them for an email address. In your message, indicate that you want to cancel the membership and do not authorize any future transactions. Send this same email to yourself. Visa will recognize this as proof that you contacted them to cancel, and will not allow any future charges. If they do not give you an email address, they have a post address. Send them a registered letter indicating cancellation. Visa will also recognize this as proof. (Just in case, I also canceled my Visa just to stop any imminent charges.)
